Slide Background

Theme Introduction

The 11th Edition of International Conference on Business Management and Emerging Markets (ICBMEM 11.0) returns in 2026 to address the transformative intersection of technology and leadership with emphasis on business and management issues in the context of developing and emerging economies. Since its inception in 2016, ICBMEM has served as a platform for multi-stakeholder collaboration engaging private sector, public sector, academia and civil society. It offers a unique space where global experts analyse the critical issues relating to inclusive and sustainable development in the global south.

ICBMEM 11.0 theme, ‘Technology, Leadership and Development in Emerging Markets,’ looks into the cross-cutting issues relating to fast changing technology and its consequent influences on business amidst new geopolitical challenges. We will be exploring together how ethical leadership becomes catalyst to innovation toward inclusive outcomes. By integrating perspectives from diverse geographies and disciplines, ICBMEM 11.0 aims to redefine how markets can continue to strengthen economic development while maintaining a commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and human-centric values.

The conference offers a space to dissect the ‘triple bottom line’ within the context of rapid technological evolution. Through collaborative sessions and keynote addresses, participants will explore how emerging markets can leapfrog traditional developmental hurdles using AI, Fintech and green strategies.
